Pixie

Pixie's haircut would match her name if it wasn't for the very long strands on either side of her face. In a reverse of the mullet: party in the front, business in the back.

I wanted to get creative with how I was positioning the characters. Pixie was an experiment in how the weight of the clay could be distributed. I wanted her to have these very thin arms and delicate fingers, but needed the base to be solid enough that all the weight would go to her lower half instead. This pose was a result of looking at how dancers move their bodies, so I gave her ballet shoes in tribute to them.
